Connection Issues: Can not DL updates automatically?
Windows XP broadband Zyxel Prestige 600 – Wired and if anything, I use the Firefox browser. This happens most of the updates, such as Java, online poker and free MMORPG. I get a message saying something like Search Server. Stays there for a few minuets and then I get the message: "Could not find and connect to the server. So I can not play or download the software I need. It's the same problem with programs that are designed to be active or live. Like Google Earth, I can see the letters, but I'm not a road map satellite or live. After looking around I found the same answer for most of these problems. My virus scanner / firewall is not blocking. However, even went to the length of disabling all virus scanners and firewall and nothing changes. The other thing people say is that my router may have a firewall to block them. But no one tells me how I can unlock,
All routers have a firewall if you have the router manual and / or the installation disk, you should be able to find a diagnosis, or installation. try to browse with IE and see if you have the same problem.
